Jokers' Masquerade are delighted to announce their proud sponsorship of Newbury Blues Rugby Club, one of the Top 25 rugby clubs in the English game, for the next 3 years.

Based in Newbury, Jokers' Masquerade are the UK's leading online retailer of fancy dress costumes and accessories.* However, they have recently sought to raise their profile on a local level as well as nationally, so when the chance to support Newbury Blues came up it seemed the perfect opportunity.

Office and Warehouse Move

Jokers' Masquerade made the successful move to their new 40,000 sq ft premises in Kennet Side, Newbury, earlier this week. As reported in June 2006, the acquisition of a new office complex comes as the answer to housing a growing team of dedicated full-time staff, an ever increasing portfolio of product from an expanded number of suppliers and most importantly, ensuring the continuity of product supply chains.

Mark Lewis, Managing Director, says "Moving offices was no mean feat. Over the months prior to the move, the warehouse were involved in moving stock on a daily basis, helped by a team of allocation experts to ensure that all stock remained accounted for. So we can look forward to this year's new stock to come rolling in from across the UK, the US and China."

Earthcam Top 10 Award

Jokers' Masquerade previously won an award with Earthcam back in May 2005 and 2 years later, with a recent upgrade in their webcam technology, they have won again! The criteria Earthcam uses for judging includes image quality, uniqueness of content and overall technical achievement in webcam technology. As quoted by the Earthcam judges themselves, "these are the cameras that have amused, amazed, or astounded us."

Warehouse Restructure and Expansion

We are pleased to announce the restructure of the warehouse department and the recruitment of 3 Team Leaders to head up new teams within the warehouse. With the recent introduction of Sunday working, the expansion allows customer orders placed on Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday daytimes to be picked and packed ready to be shipped on Monday. The expansion and re-organisation of the warehouse structure comes at a much needed time when customer demands for faster order processing and shipping are ever demanding.

Maurice Scanlon, Warehouse Manager, says "As the warehouse and the stock continues to grow, so must the people and business procedures match. We have just invested in our a brand new 'narrow aisle' Fork Lift Truck to maximise the amount of space for storing stock and the new team structures in place install a 'team spirit' as well as allowing us to process goods inwards and customer orders more quickly and effectively."
