This time of year is particularly exciting for us here at Jokers' Masquerade fancy dress. We've just completed the busy month of October and worn ourselves out partying in our scary costumes all month and now we get to look forward to selecting our Christmas fancy dress costumes and New Year's Eve outfits, two more great excuses to get dressed up.

Something else that is a great excuse to dress up and get involved in is the ever expanding and constant growing fascination that people have in what is quite simply known as a Santa run. At one point before the end of November 2011 we will send Santa into the warehouse and have him picking and packing your orders. All you need to do to enter the Santa Competition is let us know the time and date that you spotted Santa, this is made easy because if you look at the top of the individual web cam windows' there will be a black strip and on that strip it shows the date followed by the time.

One thing is for sure, looking back at the original musical that was released in 1971, you can't help but be in awe of the Willy Wonka Costumes that you will witness in the 100 minute spectacle that is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. 2011 marks the 40th release of the film and proves to be as successful and as popular as ever.

Originally penned by author Roald Dahl, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book was released by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. back in 1964. The cover features a caricature of what is obviously Willy Wonka. It is not hard to see that the inspiration for the Willy Wonka Costumes can be seen starting with the cover. The book itself boasts excellent illustrations by Joseph Schindelman and obviously provided the costume designer with much to work with.
