Bestival Fancy Dress 2012

Where does the time go? It doesn't seem long enough ago for Bestival to be locked and loaded and ready to go once again. Needless to say, 2012 marks the 10th annual gathering of the festival which engulfs the Isle of Wight with its unique atmosphere and continued success.

This year's Bestival 2012 returns with some of its richest names ever and promises to be the biggest and best weekend the island will have ever seen. 25-time Grammy award winner Stevie Wonder has been confirmed as headliner on Sunday September 9th and will close the festival. This will be the 'I Just Called to Say I Love You' singer's only UK festival appearance of 2012 and will follow his performance at the Queen's diamond jubilee concert in June.

Bestival 2012

Bestival 2012 officially begins when the camp-sites open on midday Thursday 6th September and the festivities will invariably rage on with everyone clad in their animal fancy dress ideas until the aforementioned camping areas close at 2pm on Monday 10th September.

This year's Bestival festival will feature a Roller Disco, the Wall of Death, Helter Skelter, Freak Shows, a new rockin' and rollin' Spiegeltent not to mention the return of the Inflatable Church, and the always popular Comedy & Cabaret Tent. We're personally most excited about the Pink Flamingo Cocktail Bar, even the name sounds cool.

The list of artists headlining this year's Bestival include Stevie Wonder, New Order, The xx, Sigur Rós, Friendly Fires, 2manydjs, Soulwax, Justice, Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip and Bat For Lashes.
