Competition Notice

This is a free to enter competition with no purchase necessary. The date of commencement of this competition is Wednesday 9th November with the closing date being midnight, Tuesday 29th November. All entries must be received by this time. Entries must be made via this webpage and no other medium. Postal entries or sending to any email address will not constitute an entry. The draw will take place no later than Wednesday 30th November. If you are a winner you will be contacted by email. If you are contacted you must respond to the email within one week otherwise the prize will be re-drawn or given to charity. All winners' names will be published on this website page. The sizes of the costume prizes will be size Standard where appropriate.

General Competition Rules

Competitions are subject to the privacy policy and website terms and conditions of Jokers' Masquerade. The following rules shall apply, together with any instructions or rules specific to any current competition dictated within the competition Notice. By entering any of our competitions, you are deemed to have accepted and are in agreement to the the following:

    • Competitions are open to all Jokers' Masquerade website users, except for Jokers' Masquerade employees and their relatives or anyone professionally connected with the prize offered in this competition. Jokers' Masquerade reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
    • To qualify to enter the competition you must be resident in the United Kingdom.
    • Entrants should be aged 18 years or older.
    • Only one entry per person per competition is allowed.
    • To qualify for and be entered into any of our competitions, you must answer the specific competition question or questions correctly.
    • There is no purchase requirement to enter a competition and there is no charge to register for use of the www.joke.co.uk website.
    • Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified on the competition notice. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.
    • Proof of posting cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. Jokers' Masquerade cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.
    • By taking part in any competition, you warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete at the time of submission. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your contact details and e-mail address are accurate and that Jokers' Masquerade is informed of any changes to these. Jokers' Masquerade accepts no responsibility for any changes which are not properly notified from the time of submission of your entry to the time of notification that the prize has been awarded.
    • All entries are the property of Jokers' Masquerade. By entering the competition, you thereby assign absolutely the copyright and all other rights in the entry for the full period of the copyright.
    • Prize winners will be chosen at random unless specified otherwise in the competition Notice, from all qualifying entries within 28 days of the closing date specified in the competition Notice.
    • Tie-breakers will be judged by Jokers' Masquerade and if required by law, by an independent adjudicator. In all matters, the decision of the judges' and Jokers' Masquerade shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
    • Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified on the competition Notice. Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
    • Prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. Jokers' Masquerade reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
    • Entrants should note that unless stated otherwise, Jokers' Masquerade does not accept responsibility for the return of any competition entries, including those consisting of artistic or other material.
    • All taxes, insurances, transfers and other expenses resulting from the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated.
    • Jokers' Masquerade does reserve the right to disqualify your entry if it is incomplete or if there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any of these rules.
    • Jokers' Masquerade reserves the right to alter, amend or close the competition as it deems necessary without notice at any time.
    • Jokers' Masquerade will advise winners via their submitted email address and it is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure this is correct.
    • Not withstanding Data Protection opt out obligations, unless advised otherwise, Jokers' Masquerade may communicate via email or post to the entrant any literature they deem may be of interest.
    • In the case of any disputes regarding these rules, or the rules or instructions of a specific competition, the decision of Jokers' Masquerade will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
