The number of people buying online on Christmas day is rising by 25% each year. With Internet security settling worried minds and easy to use websites with good deals plastered all over them internet savvy buyers struggle to resist the temptation. This year is looking to continue the growing trend and as the snow has made it difficult for people to shop recently and could see the surge in festive bargain hunting rise faster than in previous years.

Christmas day falling on a Saturday is the first day off from work for many this week too, which may also play a part in encouraging people to pick up the laptop. Disappointed people who have not received the gifts they had hoped for may also try and grab themselves a bargain while prices may be a bit lower than usual.
