Attention local wolves: This Adult Little Red Riding Hood Costume looks so much like the real thing, you might be tempted to make a run to grandma's house yourself to set things in motion. (This costume is NOT real, we repeat, NOT real, even though the authentic appearance says otherwise.) Ravenous wolves, don't make a fool of yourself and start something you're not prepared to finish because Little Red isn't a typical fairytale character. This is not, in fact, the "real Little Red Riding Hood." This girl is tough. This girl isn't a victim. This girl is a scrappy fighter who isn't afraid of any furry four-legged creatures, let alone "big bad wolves." Local wolves, you've been warned— we're unleashing Little Red.
DESIGN & DETAILS
The Made by Us design is comprised of a vest, skirt, and an apron worn over a white peasant blouse. The blouse has elastic at the neck and sleeve cuffs for a unique look and the black velvet vest has a back zipper for easy on and off, featuring ribbon lacing in the front. The red poplin skirt has white eyelet edging to match the apron and vest. No adult Little Red Riding Hood costume can be complete without a cape, which is exactly why this exclusive costume comes with a red, knee-length hooded cape that fastens with a Hook and Loop fastener tab at the neck and comes with a bow necktie conceal the tab.
WHIMSY MUST-HAVES
Even though this costume doesn't depict the typical Little Red Riding Hood you may be familiar with from the fairytales, adding the usual accessories is still a good idea. Pick up a basket to make it look like you're departing to grandma’s house, but use it as a purse and stash all your necessities inside, so you can leave your purse at home for the evening.
