Questions & Answers

Q: Hi there
Please could i have a break down in the sizes of the boots?
I have purchased a number of pairs over the years but they say on the bottom of the boot - Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large - please could you advise which UK sizes are which size please? i.e - Size 13 is XL.
Many thanks

Our size chart uses numeric sizes rather than S/M/L/XL labels, so here's how the US shoe size equivalents convert to UK sizes, since UK sizes run about one size lower than US. Size 8 fits US 6-7 (roughly UK 5-6), Size 9 fits US 8-9 (roughly UK 7-8), Size 10 fits US 10-11 (roughly UK 9-10), Size 11 fits US 12-13 (roughly UK 11-12), Size 12 fits US 14-15 (roughly UK 13-14), and Size 13 fits US 16-17 (roughly UK 15-16). Comparing your foot's heel-to-toe length against the footbed measurements is the surest way to nail the right fit, as those range from 9.5 inches on the Size 8 up to 12 inches on the Size 13.

Q: I am sorry this is a repeat question, but the email attached to the other question was incorrect. Please answer : What is the material used in the "Man Made Uppers"?? I have had cheap Naugahyde boots in the past that could not last one season. The thin black coating would bubble and peel. I am looking for a man-made upper that is solid color throughout!
Thank You, Santa Scott (1 Answer)

The uppers on these boots are faux leather, which is the specific man-made material used for the main body of the boot. We designed these ourselves exclusively, so we can tell you that the faux leather is not the thin coated variety you've dealt with before, but we aren't able to confirm whether the color runs solid throughout the material's thickness the way genuine leather or solid-dyed fabric would.

The uppers on these boots are faux leather, which has a consistent color throughout the material rather than a thin coating applied over a base. We designed these boots ourselves, so we put real care into the construction. That said, if you've had bad luck with peeling in the past, the best thing to know is that faux leather varies by how it's made, and ours is built to look the part through a full season of Santa duty.

The uppers on these boots are faux leather, which is a step above the thin coated Naugahyde you've dealt with before. We designed these boots ourselves, and the faux leather is the material throughout the upper rather than a surface coating applied over a base, so you won't get that bubbling and peeling effect.

Q: How tall are the boots and then what is the width of the fur for total height of the boot. Thank you (1 Answer)
Asked by Carroll | 13 August 2025
Monster Responds...
The boot height runs from 14 inches to 16.5 inches depending on the size, and that measurement covers the full boot including the faux fur cuff. We don't have a separate measurement for just the cuff width on its own, so the boot height figure is the best total-height reference we have for each size.

Q: I just received the men's santa boots I ordered and and tried thyem on. However I can't get them zipped completely because of my large calfs. If I go to the next size up but I'm afraid the foot size and boot height would be too big. I thought I measured properly but did not take in consideration the 15 1/.2 " height of the boot. The next size would be up to my knee joint. They are great boots. I am open for suggestions. I am a Vietnam Vet and enjoy playing Santa for the young children at Day Care centers and even visiting Nursing Homes. My combat boots I wear are getting harder to put on with all my health issues, (arthritis and other issues make things difficult, I'm 73) I'm open for suggestions. (1 Answer)

First, thank you for your service, and what a wonderful thing you do for those kids and nursing home residents. Based on the size chart, the calf circumference is the measurement to focus on here. Each size up adds about an inch of calf room: Size 10 gives 17", Size 11 gives 18", and Size 12 gives 19". The footbed only grows by half an inch per size, so going up one size won't dramatically change the fit at the toe. The boot height does increase slightly with each size, but only by about half an inch per step, so if you're currently in Size 10 at 15", moving to Size 11 brings you to 15.5" and Size 12 to 16". If your calf measurement is closer to 18" or 19", sizing up one or two sizes could give you the room you need to zip comfortably without a dramatic change in how the boot fits your foot.
