The costume is made from 100% polyester, and several pieces include foam construction, so machine washing isn't something we'd recommend for this one. Polyester can handle a gentle hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, but the foam-backed shirt, foam funnel hat, foam wrist cuffs, and foam boot covers can break down or warp in a washer and dryer. Spot cleaning those foam pieces and hand washing the fabric pieces flat to air dry is the safest way to keep everything looking its best.
